Aeropress

  • Coffee: 25g, ground to slightly finer than a medium
  • Water: 225mL at 205°F
  1. Set up AeroPress for an immersion style brew
  2. Add ground coffee and tap sides of AeroPress to level
  3. Bloom for 20 seconds using 40g of water
  4. Pour the remaining water into the AeroPress, up to 225g mark
  5. Let brew for 3:30
  6. Flip and press, aiming for 20-30 second extraction time

Fellow Stagg XF

  • Coffee: 20g, ground to 30 clicks (slightly finer than medium)
  • Water: 340mL, around 205°F
  1. Rinse the paper filter to remove impurities and to warm pour over
  2. Add ground coffee and tap sides of Stagg to level grounds
  3. Pour 40g of water for blooming, while starting a time
  4. Wait 40-45 seconds, then begin pouring water in a controlled circle aiming for 340mL of total water at about 1:45
  5. Allow coffee to drip into cup fully
  6. Serve
