I wonder if I went down the wrong path,
In my attempt to memorize every complication,
Trying to understand the world of math.
Maybe I should just take a toaster bath,
After hours spent looking at every permutation,
As I wonder if I went down the wrong path.
It’s impressive that a formula can describe our Earth,
But I still have a nagging, “I’ll never get it” feeling.
Trying to understand the world of math.
Sometimes I get a feeling in my stomach like death,
As I continue my hunt for the problem solution, fleeting.
And I wonder if I went down the wrong path.
The challenge thought is what makes it all worth,
Once I begin to understand all the formula combinations,
In trying to understand the world of math.
As I hand in the final paper due the twentieth,
My confidence has grown to where I start believing.
I now know that I did go down the right path,
In trying to understand this crazy world of math.
